Weekend picks

Almost the end of the football season. An excellent time to prove that I have it in me to choose the correct bets with the correct result.

Belgium
Nothing is decided yet. It is already know that Lierse or Beveren will relegate directly and that the other will have to play the face-offs. The title fight is getting to its summit. Anderlecht has to play a derby at home against Brussels (the president of Brussels promised an extra bonus if they beat Anderlecht) after there elimination in the Belgium Cup last Wednesday. Racing Genk has to face Charlerloi at home. Charlerloi was the only team who was capable of claiming the victory against in the first part of the season.

Racing Genk (2) – Charlerloi (5) (1.33, 4.50, 9.00)
It will be close but I expect a victory for Racing Genk, based on the home advantage. They never play good against Charlerloi but a lot is going on in Charlerloi. The head coach was sacked two weeks ago cause he signed for Club Brugge.

Germany
Still 3 teams in the running for the title. Schalke has a difficult away game at Dortmund. Stuttgart has to travel to Bochum and Werder has to face Frankfurt @ home.

Werder Bremen (3) – Frankfurt (14) (1.33, 4.50, 9.85)
Werder cannot afford a misstep in this phase of the competition. So it predict an easy victory for Werder.

England
The title is for Man U.

Liverpool (3) – Charlton (19) (1.40, 4.10, 8.50)
If Liverpool wins they are sure of the third place and direct qualification for the CL. Should not be a problem!

Spain
5 more match days to go. Barca has a lead of 2 points on Real and 4 on Sevilla. While the chances of Sevilla have decreased a lot after the loss against Real, they cannot be counted out (yet). Also curious how Barca is going to react on the blow they got in the Cup. A 4-0 loss in Getafe. I would stay away from the relegation battles, which will be fought this weekend. To much at stake and almost unpredictable.

Barcelona (1) – Betis Sevilla (15) (1.25 , 5.25, 12.00)
Again no double this year for Barcelona. Last Wednesday they got a blow which can count. Betis is going to pay the bill for this defeat in the semies of the Cup. I guess that Sevilla again is going to loose some points. So with a victory Barca can eliminate Sevilla in the title race.

Only one combo for this weekend!
1,11 euro on Barcelona, Liverpool, Werder Bremen and Racing Genk with a possible pay-out of 3,44 euro.
